Inspired Creativity

With the industrialisation and mass production we are able to manufacture big quantities for low costs. This brought wealth to the masses as everybody could afford the manufactured items. The price we paid are stereotypes and the loss of uniqueness in manufactured items.

Nowadays computer-controlled manufacturing allows creating unique objects for the same cost as stereotypes in mass production. However, if every person wants a unique design, we need many designers.

One solution could be the principle of Inspired Creativity. The computer creates design suggestions based on random algorithms and the user selects the favored design. The Daisy Vases Project is an attempt to implement a suggestion generator for vases. The principle of Inspired Creativity can be applied to many design fields - textiles, shoes, water faucets, houses, etc. Vases are just an example.
