GazeSlidingPuzzle is a Windows10 app using Microsoft's GazeAPI to emulate a sliding puzzle. This means that the app requires a build-in or attached remote eye tracker.
It is available in the Microsoft Store: https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9N0GH8PDBWJ4.
There is no commercial interest behind this app. The app does not collect any data. Actually, the 'internet services' are deactivated in this app. On the first start the app will ask for permission to access the eye tracker, and this seems to be the reason why Microsoft demands this privacy statement.
My personal interest in gaze interaction was the reason to write this app. The manufacturer of my eye tracker changed the license agreements after my purchase and now wants to forbid storing x-y coordinates. Microsoft published a manufactorer-neutral GazeAPI accessible from UWP and this motivated me to learn UWP programming.
UWP programs require to install certificates and this seems to be an obstacle for my research colleagues. Therefore the GazeSkidingPuzzle is available in the Microsoft Store.
The app is not made for accessibility or to provide a good game. The app is made to experience dwell-time values, target sizes, and the conflict between visual inspection and control by gaze (Midas Touch problem).
Operating the app is hopefully self-explaining. The use of the option 'gaze cursor' is not recommended, except for checking the eye tracker calibration.
